ESA This Week: A Surfing Documentary by Ken Horton

Synopsis
ESA This Week is a pilot for a weekly surf documentary featuring competitors of Central Florida Surf Contests. The "Eastern Surfing Association" or ESA is an organization that conducts regional surf contests throughout the year leading to a National Championship. The Central Florida Chapter website is http://cfl.surfesa.org.

The documentary is geared towards "groms" or young surfers. In addition to introducing young talented surfers, it attempts to educate the audience on how surf contests are conducted, as well as the names of maneuvers that surfer perform.

In this 15 minute documentary, Sam Duggan conducts an interview of Corey Howell. Both are 12 year old competitive surfers. They narrate the video of the Open Final heat of an ESA Contest that was held at the Cocoa Beach Pier on December 2, 2007. Corey finished second.
